Burlington, Ont. – Oct. 25, 2018—The City of Burlington has released the official election results from the Oct. 22, 2018 municipal election. A complete list of results is available at burlington.ca/election.
The four-year term of office for elected representatives is Dec. 1, 2018 to Nov. 14, 2022. Elected positions include Halton Regional Chair, Mayor and members of City Council for the City of Burlington, trustees for the Halton District School Board and Halton District Catholic School Board and Conseil scolaire Viamonde and Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir.
Of the 128,238 eligible voters in Burlington, 51,021, or 39.79 per cent, voted in the 2018 election, including:
The first meeting of the newly elected Burlington City Council will be held on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, 440 Locust St., Burlington. Members of council will be officially sworn in. This meeting is open to the public.
