The City’s Play Equipment Lending Program is being transferred to Burlington Public Library (BPL). In early 2026, the program will be available through BPL. Residents can look forward to enjoying much of the same outdoor equipment and games to borrow, plus a few improvements. Full details will be shared by BPL in the coming weeks. To ensure a smooth transition, below are dates to be aware of:
- Last day to book equipment through your Live and Play account: Nov. 25
- Last day to pick up equipment: Nov. 27
- Last day to return equipment: Dec. 2

Lending Library Information
- Free to borrow with a deposit of $50.
- The deposit will be refunded to the borrower upon return of the equipment in the same condition it was borrowed. Deposits may take up to seven days to be returned.
- Failure to return the items without informing us ahead of time may result in a $50 charge. Residents are encouraged to email us if you will be late or unable to return the equipment on the agreed upon date or time.
- If you need to cancel your equipment reservation, please email us as soon as possible. This will allow the equipment to become available for others to book and enjoy.
